Cork City Council proposes to draft its second Irish Language Scheme in accordance with Section 11 of the Official Languages Act 2003. The primary objective of the Act is to ensure better availability and a higher standard of public services through Irish. Cork City Council now wishes to invite representations in relation to the preparation of the draft scheme from any interested parties.
Submissions should ideally not exceed 4,000 words (c. 8 pages). Where possible submissions should be forwarded electronically to gaeilge@corkcity.ie. Alternatively they may be posted to the following;
Communications and Irish Officer,
Cork City Council,
City Hall,
Cork.
The latest date for receipt of representations is: 5.00 p.m. Friday September 17th 2010.
